Dual Enrollment
Dual Enrollment Overview
The purpose of the Dual Enrollment program is to promote and increase access to postsecondary educational opportunities for Georgia high school students while increasing high school graduation rates, preparing a skilled workforce, and decreasing time and cost to postsecondary credential completion. Georgia’s Dual Enrollment Program provides funding for students who are dually enrolled in a participating public high school and postsecondary institution in Georgia. Students take postsecondary coursework for credit towards both high school graduation requirements and postsecondary certificates, diploma or associate degree requirements. Georgia has created a singular program known as Dual Enrollment for eligible students in grades 10-12. Students may enroll on a part-time or full-time basis as a Dual Enrollment student and take college courses at their high school or a postsecondary campus. Students will receive high school and college credit simultaneously when attending and passing eligible dual enrollment college classes
Registration for dual enrollment at Georgia Military College must occur in the Spring of each academic year. Our open interest window closes on March 31st. Students who express interest after this date may not be eligible for participation the following academic year.
Parents and students are always welcome to confer with their school counselor or stop by the College and Career Center for general dual enrollment advisement at any time throughout the school year.
